“Taking the Initiative” is a television show which highlights the good work being done in our communities.
Since 2005 Taking the Initiative has featured local non profit organizations, faith based organizations, citizen led groups, government agencies, and individuals in the greater Philadelphia and Lehigh Valley area’s who are “Taking the Initiative” to make their communities a better place.
Previous topics included hunger relief, community block watch programs, soup kitchens, homelessness, gun violence, animal rescue, special needs children, consumer finance issues, habitat for humanity, emergency preparedness, girl scouting and much more.
“Taking the Initiative” brings to the forefront the vast amount of good being done right here in our local area by people in our community. This good work goes on day in and day out, and in some cases largely unnoticed, yet vitally important to their recipients and to the communities. These workers and volunteers make up an important part of the backbone of our communities and “Taking the Initiative” brings attention to the work being done.
“Taking the Initiative” helps to promote the organization or groups doing the positive work and also encourages others to Take the Initiative.
